Phil Hale

Phil Hale is an American figurative painter and illustrator currently
residing in London. Prior to his career in fine arts, he worked as an
illustrator and was apprenticed to/ partnered with American painter Rick Berry,
during which period he produced numerous iconic works including book covers and
illustrations for novelist Stephen King, Joseph Conrad, and Playboy magazine.
As a fine artist, he has been featured in numerous international and intranational exhibitions and in 2007 was formerly commissioned to create a portrait of former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair. He has recently expanded his interest to film, creating the “unprofessional.com” movie company specializing in bespoke analogue filmmaking.
